RUNNING IN HIS REST

So the creation of heavens and the earth and everything in them was completed. On the seventh day God had finished his work of creation, so he rested from all his work. Gen 2:1-2

For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world Heb 4:10

Right at the back of the church auditorium where I was seated, His word came to me in a swift and so I heard,

Rest in His works, there is nothing else you can add to it.

When God rested after creating the world, all that needs to be were already created. That’s was the answer I got while I wondered with an openness of mind about the kind of rest God observed seeing that human and other life entities come to be at different times after the creation ended. It was stated that He had ended the creation and saw that everything was beautiful. The end He envisioned has found expression, so He relaxed and watched with cheerfulness all He had created with the expectation that they will give him pleasure and ascribe to him the praises he deserves. God’s rest is a place of having peace in the midst of troubles, getting result with ease while working, standing strong when situations seem overwhelming, believing there is a light at the end of the tunnel when nothing makes sense, not comparing self with others in terms of achievement and status. But it is only entered by those who have heard His voice and believed His promise. God rested because ‘it is finished’. All we need to live life and be fulfilled has been created. If there is any new thing in the physical realm today, it had been created by God, it is not new to him, and all he did was to make them available when it was needed. That is why no man, woman, material things, invention or vision is ever a mistake. Their existence on the planet earth was well thought-out. So, our journey in life already has a plan, there is a volume of book that has been written concerning us. God is the custodian of that book and all He wants is for you to lean on His shoulder for carriage to the expected end. The vision you have today has been existing in that book, when and how it will be fulfilled is also there. You see why you don’t need to run endlessly looking for what has not lost? All he said is “write the vision and make it plain….” It is so that you have the end in mind even if you don’t know the troubles, disappointment, letdowns, people, you will meet on your way. To believe in His promise to get you there is all He needs to keep you safe lest you fail and falter. Trying to add to what God has already created will be a fruitless attempt and that will not give you a safe landing. Everyday you wake up, have it in your consciousness that it is God’s seventh day and while we go about our business and getting deeper meaning to life, trust not in your own ability, lean not on your understanding. The bible says “acknowledge Him in all your ways”. I pray you hear His voice this day telling you to run with that vision in His rest, carrying out the assignment in His wisdom, making all the impact you can with His given ability, achieving greater heights through His enablement in Jesus’ name (Amen).

A FORMLESS BEGINNING……………………… A BEAUTIFUL END

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Gen 1:1-2 Then God looked over all he had made and He saw that it was very good. (Gen 1:31)

What makes the journey of life an interesting one is the vision that seats in the very core of our being. I have long discovered the importance of running with an end in mind; it gives you a sense of direction and purpose. I am not about to state why you must have a vision. With an expectation that you already have one, it’s my delight to place again into your consciousness, why you have to keep at the every step you need to take in the pursuit of purpose. Every vision has a beginning and God surely did not expect that we get it all put together immediately the vision is given. It was a formless earth when God was about starting the creation but He had an end in mind, a beautiful one, and good enough to express His “Let there be”. At different stages and in each one, God brought into existence, the different component that will make up a complete end. That means there are stages, there are phases, there are chapters that must feature a creation that will form a part of that divine vision. Every stage is important, every chapter brings a definition into the journey, and every phase gives it a deeper meaning until it was complete and good. The earth was said by the scriptures to be void, it was empty and the Spirit hovered upon the surface of the deep. But at every “Let there be”, there was a creation. Now, you will understand that the earth was not actually empty; it was filled with substance that can only be brought forth with an action word of creation. God has modeled to us, a perfect being that calls those things that be not as though they were and so every new stage, chapter or phase you get to while giving expression to our vision and dreams, there is meant to be a creation that will give a deeper meaning to your pursuit. A creation of new ventures, new initiatives, new ideas, new solution to challenges, fresh impact in your environment, marriage. etc. There are stages in life that seem so difficult to pull through due to the scope of human limitation, our human strength is obviously not strong enough to take us through it; by it we can not prevail. But of course, your spirit man is always alive to keep your hope in God; to tap into the grace to look up to Jesus the author and the finisher of your faith, to focus on the beautiful linings of God’s promise to take you to that expected end. Some step in reality, appear to be too big for your person to take because your five senses keep bringing back to your awareness, the environment you are in, the intellectual skill you dispossess, the financial and material capacity you do not have. The truth that your spirit man needs is that the vision in its totality informed that step. The result of that step will make up a part of the vision. That step is needful if you must see a beautiful ending. I pray that your heart be quickened for understanding, what seem difficult will ease up for you; every weak knees and feeble hands be strengthened by His touch; every vision that has been put out because of one limitation or the other be revived by the power and authority in Jesus’ name. I pray your cause will not be subverted as the Lord lives. There is a beautiful ending to that formless beginning; it will find expression by His grace.

BEYOND THE SCOPE OF HUMAN LIMITATION

Life itself has its own inadequacies, it’s constrains and drawbacks, and I looked at the relentless effort of man to still get a meaningful living out of the limited life. Then I gave a thought to how much the human strength itself can produce.
Human limitation has its root in the sin cancer that has eaten deep and depraved the human nature, this has cut short our abilities to operate at God’s frequency and all we make effort to do is at our own limited best. Hence human living was enclosed within the scope of HUMAN LIMITATION.
But there is a hope for man to live beyond this scope, the natural laws can be altered for man’s sake, man can step into a realm where seemingly impossibilities are possible.
It is just about an understanding that is born out of revelation. Such revelation is based on God’s word and its unlimited power is what sets us on a pedestal that is out of the norm. It is to my understanding that life will not deliver into your bosom all you need to function within it except u make demands with an operational understanding that life itself cannot reject. We all live based on our knowing and it is to the degree of what we know we act and live.
In the cause of putting up this piece I was engaged in a chat with a friend who told me about an open vision of a leaping lion in the sky, the clouds were gaseous. He said to me ‘’they are symbols of that which nothing - no human can stand on. But God & His divine purposes can ride, not just stand or walk, ride on impossible circumstances to establish His majesty. Where man cannot even stand, God leaps and He leaps in majesty & so do those who are in Him.’’
With our own human concerted efforts and living based on our five senses, we can not stand where God stands, we will not operate at His frequency and all we
It is with this understanding Elijah outran Ahab, Abraham walked with God by faith and became the father of many nations, a covenant many generations to come will keep enjoying, with this understanding Mary said out loud ‘’be it unto me according to your word, the HolySpirit came on her and she birthed the savior. Many generals in time have lived out this knowledge and their living seemed to people, a strange and out of the ordinary one.
For your sake human laws can be altered. You have to step out of ignorance and operate with faith the understanding and victory mentality brought you by Jesus’ death and resurrection. In the word of God is vested all you need to live beyond the scope of human limitation. Nothing can stop the force of God’s word; imagine storing up such unstoppable force on your inside and walking in it with faith in God.
Before I end, I will like to remind you, that living for a divine purpose is not separated from all that has been said, it guarantees you the ultimate end in God.
As you read up this piece to the end, open your bible and read, Mark 10:27. Take this scripture to heart and believe in it without doubt.

INDIVIDUAL OPERATING SYSTEM

It is so amazing how God created every individual on earth with different and unique make up. With over 6 billion people on the earth, different 6 billion destinies are expected to emerge. You wonder what I am getting at, everyday, when I wake up, I see on the street, different individuals with different countenance on their faces, they have different destinations, with different objectives, it is obvious their thought are different, definitely, they are coming from different places. And I marvel at God’s brilliant strategy to give us different minds which apparently separate us from each other.

Everyone minds his/her business; they focus on what they have deduced to be their concern. And I can’t forget a saying I got used to hearing as I grew up in life, ‘’mind your own business’’, ‘’paddle your own canoe’’. This implies that every individual has one personal issue to give attention to at every point in time; he has his life to live even as he threads the path of destiny.

I am bringing to your knowledge at this moment, the fact that you have a pre-designed life to live, you are different from the pack, that is why you cant afford to imitate someone else’s living style or listen to talks that does not confirm God’s will for your life. I am aware that it is good to have a mentor and seek godly counsels, if any of this must happen, your responsibility is to allow God give you the final say on what you have seen or heard, if it is okay to go in that direction or not.

You have to take the following point heart in all sincerity if you must fulfil your God-designed destiny:
1. God expects something out of your life and any human being, no matter who the person is, should not thwart it.
2. Someone else’s life/ achievements/ style should not determine yours
3. Do not try to step into someone else’s shoe, that person must have fulfilled destiny, it is left for you to live in the fulfilment of yours.
4. You are too unique to be duplicated/ replaced, if you have a mentor, do your mentorship in a way that your mentee/ protégée will live a God- designed life.
Everything about life is a personal operating system, though living can be interdependent, no one can get there alone except in the company of divinely orchestrated relationships. For everything you have to do as an individual, ensure it is in the circle of God’s will for your life. This is the surest way to fulfil destiny.

the joy that brings strength

you may ask me what the joy that bring strength is all about, it is the joy you would always feel, enjoy, unable to speak when you seem weak. it is the joy of the lord. this joy would have its way in you whenever you keep your gaze on the knowledge of glory to come. remember the word became flesh and we beheld its glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the lord. its a matter of a short time, his words, promises, covenants will be materialized in you, just keep the joy

For you to be successful as a student, you need to be able to plan. Planning for success involves setting out goals which are dreams with deadline i.e. with stipulated time for achievement. It starts with identifying activities to get involved in as a student, for example, daily studying of books, regular attending of classes, preparation for test and examination etc. the goals you set becomes your route to success. After identification, you set goals by writing them down for clarity and accountability. The goals you set must be specific, achievable, and measurable. Your goal must also be time sensitive, because

without timing most goals never go from dream into reality. Goals provide you motivation and draw out your sense of purpose and direction shows you what to do and keep you on your journey to being successful.

More so, in a time like this when exams are just around the corner, I will like us to plan ahead for it-start preparing by studying your notes, doting your i and crossing your t, treating past questions, going for tutorials, signing all necessary forms, pay all necessary fees. Also, get your heart prepared and be rest assured within yourself that you cannot fail and that you are coming out as a success. Prayerfully prepare for your exams too-commit all things into the hands of God, right from reading to releasing of results.
